Patton's General Lawn & Garden
In Loving Memory
Max J. Patton, 72, of Exeter, RI, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at his home in Exeter. He was the dear husband for over 30 years to the love of his life, Donna J. Medas Patton.
Born on March 29, 1950, in Boston, MA, Max was the youngest of five children born to the late Kenneth L. and Elizabeth (Pfeifer) Patton. At the young age of 17, Max met his future wife on Star Island located in the Isles of Sholes off the coast of NH.
Max received his Associate's degree from CCRI, where he studied Computer Programming.
A hardworking man, Max spent many years working in the sheet metal profession. Following a career change, Max had the responsibility of being a School Bus Driver for the Exeter-West Greenwich Public School Systems. He took great pride in being entrusted with the safe transportation of children to and from school.
In his spare time, Max was an avid supporter of all New England sports teams, particularly the Boston Celtics. He was an animal lover and ardent advocate for wildlife and the environment. He will be remembered for his sense of humor as well as his independent and knowledgeable wisdom that he would share with others. Above all, Max most treasured being a father to his son, Jared, who was truly the focal point of his life.
In addition to his wife, Max is survived by his son Jared Patton and his partner, Melanie Chauvin; two brothers and a sister; and countless nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
